Hour Meter + Tachometer

This is a great hour meter/tach with battery backup. Easy to install/connect and it works as advertised.

It works but not accurate and difficult to install and adjust. First off the battery was dead in unit. Was try to figure out why it wasn’t working and. Otho g on how to turn
It on. The protective plastic that you pull out from the battery compartment when you are unpacking was folded over inside the cover. It is nearly impossible to access spark plug with zero slack. I got it to work but not secure. Do not mount the display inside the access door. The unit has max temp of 125 degrees, which on a hot day will be well in excess of range. Tried several programming options but the hour meter is not accurate, it’s running about 20% faster than stopwatch. Tried adjusting number of loops on the spark plug wire but due to access I gave up on that. I wish it was more accurate. I just know when I get to 100 hours I have a buffer of 20 hours. All being said, and how inexpensive it is, I will say it was worth it except for the skinned knuckles.

The initial setup and installation took us a few minutes to sort out, but that's what happens when two electrical engineers do gas plumbing. Fortunately, the directions are spot on. Just pay close attention to the pretty pictures for hose routing.

Ordered the propane conversion kit for a Honda EU3000is on Tuesday and was up and running by Thursday. The installation instructions are clear and concise and included a tip or two to prevent problems. Components are top notch, thread sealed, and ready for installation. The clarity of the instructions makes this about a 35-45 minute project. I recommend doing business with these folks, they do what they say.
